These terms are an agreement between you and Huddlecode about using Mike. By installing or using Mike you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Mike.
1. Using Mike
Huddlecode gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Mike on computers you own or control, for your own personal, educational or work purposes, subject to these terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Mike. If you're under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. Your account
You don't need an account to use Mike. If you create one:
- give a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account;
- tell us if you think someone else has access to it;
- you can delete it at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend or delete an account that's used to break these terms, and delete accounts that have been inactive for a long time after telling you by email.
3. Mike can be wrong
Mike uses artificial intelligence. Its answers can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, even when they sound confident.
- Check anything important. Don't rely on Mike for medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice.
- Studying. Use Mike to learn and understand. You are responsible for following your school's or university's rules on academic integrity, including rules about AI assistance in assignments and exams.
- Code. Review code Mike writes before you run or ship it.
4. Mike acts on your computer — you stay in charge
Mike can open apps, click and type, run commands, and create, change or delete files, when you ask it to.
- Anything that can't be quietly undone is shown to you before it happens; you decide whether to approve it, and you're responsible for the actions you approve.
- Mike can misunderstand a request or a screen. Watch what it does, stop it whenever you want (Stop or Esc), and keep backups of files that matter.
- You can limit what Mike is allowed to do in Settings → Permissions.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Mike to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- access computers, accounts or data you're not authorised to access;
- send spam, harass people, or impersonate someone;
- create malware or attack systems;
- infringe other people's rights, including copyright and privacy.
6. Other services
Some features use services run by others — Ollama (which runs Mike's model on your computer), search engines, websites, Supabase (which runs Mike accounts) if you have an account, and Google if you connect Gmail or sign in with it. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. Huddlecode isn't responsible for those services.
7. Open-source software
Mike includes open-source components, used under their own licences, which are listed in Settings → About → Open-source licences. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
8. Your content
What you write, attach or create with Mike is yours. Huddlecode doesn't receive it or claim any rights to it. See the Privacy Policy for how Mike stores it on your computer.
9. Updates and early access
Mike is under active development. Features may change, be added or be removed. We may release updates to fix problems or improve Mike.
10. No warranty
Mike is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Huddlecode is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Mike — including actions Mike takes on your computer that you requested or approved. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending
You can stop using Mike at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, Mike will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
